After a tough loss against your opponents, you have drawn a rematch in the Playoffs.

Mainly an offensive team, their Achilles heal is the fact that their defence is porous and their goalie shell shocked.

Cover a man on any of their attacks! It's important to make them earn every foot of ground upon which they traverse.

On their kicks and throw ins, be sure to cover up and be prepared for a quick break out...remember, you have the man advantage.

Keep to the basics on our rushes.

Men need to be open and close by for the quick passes.

Move about, make them sweat!

Take shots at the net and be sure someone is local for a rebound.

LOKOMOTIVE:

Well guys, you were very convincing Sunday night with that doubled up win.

Our visitors had no options, had very little place to move and were frustrated.

I have never seen so many shots against our opponents...and shots that were right on the net.

Kudos for the well earned win...although their last goal didn't need to happen. Subbing would have helped!

Concerning our match this week...

All of us need to move. All of us need to cover each other.

Watch for their break outs. Every man needs to harass and deny them easy shots.

We can win this...but we need to fall back on their attacks and deny them space.

Once Again...sliding inside the 18 is a penalty when playing indoor

Catrachos vs ENERGIE:
There was no giving up, despite some bad calls, for our boys in Chrome.

After some initial lucky goals for the bad guys, our team reorganized and set their opponents straight.

There were some great moves on the field, and the opponents were lucky to get away with an inflated win.

LilyPads vs LOKOMOTIVE:
Lokomotive got into an early slump, and couldn't quite shake the offensive power of their opponents.

Most of the goals from the bad guys resulted from a lack of defensive plays. The top three couldn't get back in time to meet the influx of attackers. In the end, the offensive disparity produced goals.

There were plenty of opportunities for Lokomotive to score. Many were hits on the cross bar or posts.

One thing to remember is that the sides are usually easier to use to bring the ball up. Then we need players to hit the net and ensure that rebounds or redirections are possible.

A poor result, in what could have been a way better play.

Baron:
It's been a while since I've updated the blog.

I've seen some good playing, and I've seen some bad results.

Remember that a team is judged by the opponents that beat them.

In our League, it's important to be the judge of your own actions. Often the harshest critic, you need to reconcile with yourself if the job you did on the field deserves accolades.

When you find yourself against a team of overwhelming talent, and the score is getting up there, look at it this way. The pressure is off. So try some things that you wouldn't normally do. What difference does it make?

The only way you're going to get better is through training and experience.
And the way of that path is through just doing it.
