COACH's CORNER: GAME 3 of 5

GOOD BEGINNING DOESN'T END WELL

Baron's Synopsis:

We started the game with only one sub. The injuries are starting to really kill us.

We had a lousy start, conceding a goal that was pretty lackluster.

After that, though, we controlled the game of the first half. Two good goals and overall good team work.

The second half, it was obvious that the REF was not calling the game down the middle. He didn't protect our goalie, made that horrendous 20 yard measure, and didn't call some dirty plays.

In fact, this game goes down as one of the least enjoyable of the season. Not because we lost, but because the REF couldn't call the right plays. It was embarrassing to see our players hurt, and no card given. The bull dozer on Scott, and the double knee to Carlos will go down in infamy. On our end, atleast we gave some return to their physical escapades. John knocked one guy down after the unmarked foul, and we started to regain some form after they realized we would fight back. Carlos got his revenge against the guy who double kneed him.

IF the REF had called the game right, we might have hit the most important thing of the game. Adapting. The opposing team rose to counter us. Unfortunately I was not able to make that play. Something we'll remember in the future.
