THERE'S TONNES OF OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT
Yellow Never Strays from a Challenge! |
IT was a bad day for our local heroes as they both suffered severe drubbings at the hands of traditional league foes.
For Black, it was an end of some great playing.
While they were able to stymie their opponents for select times last week, a lack of subs really affected their ability to storm back.
In addition, their often lackluster challenge attempts led to some long range goals that should never have been allowed.
"There's a lot of room for improvement," Baron stated in a post game scrum," and we need to focus on getting a few more wins in that column."
On the other side of town, Yellow faced their toughest game yet, as they faced their first place rivals without stars John or Nelson, both out with injuries.
It was a bit of a Turkey shoot, with injury riddled Bryan taking the spot between the posts and being left to his own devices.
A lack of communication and adherence to the formation did little to aid in the Yellow cause, although a spirited come back attempt by Stephen certainly added some excitement.
"Yellow has a lot of ability," Baron was heard saying in the locker room,"but refuses to follow simple soccer attack rules."
This coming Sunday features a battle of Spartan vs Spartan.
Tickets go on sale Friday, and the half time show will feature Kids Rocke.
