LOSING HORRIBLE STYLE

LACK OF DISCIPLINE SPELLS THE END FOR OTHERWISE GOOD DISPLAY

The Baron Says:
"There is no dishonour in losing. But there is dishonour in the way we lose."

SUMMARY

The Gunners are a good team. The are consistently in the top five.
We gave good account for ourselves for the first half. Losing only by one, we had numerous chances.

Second half there was a mix match of issues that allowed us to concede the only REAL goal.

THE GOOD:
Kris' shot from half was something of excellence.
Derek was a shining light between the pipes

THE BAD:
Once again we try to walk it in.
Shoot the ball! Who cares if you miss, or it gets saved. The fact is that we need to keep taking shots on net rather than look for the pass, pass, twine.

THE UGLY:
Discipline.
When I put this team together, there were three things I wanted: team work, fun and discipline.
We all know the REF was playing the 12th man. It was obvious. Why are you telling him something that he already knows? Arguing with him is just making matters worse.
I spoke to the REF twice, and the Linesman who couldn't be bothered to make the right calls. Even the other team captain said the third goal was offside.
Listen up guys. I need all of you on board for this! Keep your comments to yourself. If you have issues, talk to me and I will raise them with the REF.
OTHERWISE...KEEP YOUR MOUTH TO YOURSELF AND NOT TO THE REF.

STATS:
O'Neil (A)
Kris (A)

Kris' goal will be nominated for GOAL OF THE YEAR.

MAN OF THE MATCH:
TBD

Sorry I haven't been out to any games this summer, I've been away in Aruba. Looks like I haven't missed much though.

See you Sunday, I'll be sure to bring my vuvuzela.
