LOSE CLOSE AFFAIR TO SECOND PLACE TEAM
Anders Gets Some Revenge! |
"It's a game with mixed emotions," stated Baron in his traditional post game interview at the Royale in Whitby."The lads played an amazing first half, lost some charm in the second half, but regained it again for the last 20 minutes. It's a game we were simply unluckly to lose."
Baron juggled his offensive staff about after the Shooters found a way past Mark with two goals in the first half.
"They were good goals," revealed the impressive Spartan Keeper.
The change, largely ineffective, saw the Spartans switch from a controlled passing affair to a dump and chase experiment. Gone were the close shots by F'n J, Scott and Baron.
The lone Spartan goal came after some shenanigans by the Shooters against Paul.
"The guy takes a clump outta my back," yelled Paul, who revealed claw marks on his back,"and these aren't my wife's. She's a lot tougher than that bloke."
As the Referee looked on, he allowed the shot to proceed and Anders popped in the rebound.
"At first I thought the Ref was going to call the blatant foul against Paul," said Anders," but he had no intention and let us play the advantage."
"We learned a lot from the game, and we'll be better equipped to win our last few games," prophesized Baron.
